On September 3, 2022, the Lumbini World Peace Forum (LWPF) and the Global Law Thinkers Society (GLTS) officially launched a joint Nepal-Bangladesh tree-plantation movement in Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the theme “Green War, Green is Freedom.” Aimed at combating climate change and fostering youth leadership, this cross-border initiative stretches from the Bay of Bengal to the Himalayas under the global banner “Guardian of the Earth.” Leaders from both organizations—including GLTS Founder Raoman Smita and LWPF Founder Basu Gautam—emphasized that environmental action knows no borders and requires urgent collective momentum. To solidify this long-term commitment to sustainable development, LWPF and GLTS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the event, ensuring active Nepalese youth participation in the climate action program through 2030.
