Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki

On 7 August 2022, Lumbini World Peace Forum (LWPF) commemorated “Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki” in the Lumbini–Bhairahawa region through a meaningful tribute to peace and environmental stewardship. As a symbol of hope, resilience, and a commitment to a world free from violence, LWPF planted saplings near the World Peace Pagoda and held a candlelight remembrance ceremony in honor of the countless lives lost in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The event reaffirmed LWPF’s dedication to promoting global peace, non-violence, environmental sustainability, and the enduring message that such tragedies should never be repeated.
